Terms of Use

The ground rules for using the Field Guide, its reference data and its tools.

Independent fan siteUpdated

1. About this guide

These terms apply to https://arenaofchampions.net and the pages, reference material and planning tools provided here. “We” and “the Field Guide” refer to the independent maintainer of this fan project. You can contact the maintainer at contact@arenaofchampions.net.

The Field Guide is not the Arena of Champions game service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the game’s developer, jerz, or Blizzard Entertainment. We do not operate game servers, manage game accounts, sell in-game items or handle game payments. Play and download links take you to the official game.

You may browse the guide and use its tools without creating an account. Please use the site in accordance with these terms and applicable law. If you do not accept these terms, do not continue using the site.

2. Data, advice and planning tools

Game data is a versioned reference. A number shown in a public client can differ from live server behavior, and a later game update can make a page out of date. Missing values remain unknown; a familiar spell name does not establish that its mechanics match World of Warcraft. Check the version label and the data methodology when relying on a value.

Talent choices, composition notes and editorial preparation advice help you explore possibilities. They do not guarantee a valid future build, a specific match result, a rating gain or a measured win rate. Rankings and recommendations should be read with their stated evidence limits. The tools do not log into the game or apply changes to your game account.

Shared talent links expose the choices encoded in the URL. Review a link before publishing it, and do not put passwords, email addresses or other private information into URL parameters. Our Privacy Policy explains how these links and browser features work.

3. Content and ownership

Original editorial text, page design and original class illustrations belong to their respective creators. Game names, character names, trademarks, game visuals and the underlying content visible in screenshots remain the property of their respective rights holders. Warcraft and World of Warcraft are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment.

Our game screenshots are captures made for this guide. Capturing an image does not give us ownership of every element shown in it, and this site does not grant you a license to the game’s art, characters or other third-party material. We do not host or mirror game binaries, extracted models or a playable copy of the game.

You are welcome to link to our pages and share links generated by the talent calculator. Where applicable law permits quotation or another use, those rights are unaffected. For broader reproduction of original site material, contact us with the material, intended use and proposed attribution. Do not remove credits or present our pages as an official game publication.

If you believe a page or image infringes your rights, use the content-concern instructions. Identify the work and the exact material at issue so the maintainer can review the report. A report is not a promise of a particular legal outcome or removal deadline.

4. Acceptable use

Use the site without interfering with other visitors or the services that deliver it. In particular, do not:

  • Attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls, disrupt availability or send traffic intended to overload the site.
  • Use the site or contact channels for malware, fraud, harassment, threats, impersonation or unlawful material.
  • Publish another person’s private account details, credentials or sensitive personal information in a report or public issue.
  • Misrepresent an edited page, fabricated result or third-party service as an official Field Guide recommendation.
  • Reuse material in a way that violates applicable intellectual-property or privacy rights.

Ordinary browsing, search and reasonable reference use are welcome. Automated access should respect the published robots rules, use reasonable request rates and avoid impairing availability. Public accessibility does not authorize attacking the site or the separate game service.

5. Feedback and reports

When sending a correction, provide the page, game version and a clear description of the issue. Send only material you are entitled to share. Factual reports and suggested corrections may be used to improve the guide; sending them does not transfer ownership of your other work or private correspondence.

If a contribution requires publishing your original writing, artwork or a private attachment beyond the factual correction, we will discuss permission and credit with you. Public GitHub issues are visible to others; use email for a privacy concern, a rights complaint or a security report.

6. External services

The official game, GitHub and other linked services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. A link is provided for its stated reference or destination; we do not control those services or guarantee their availability, account security or content.

Registration, downloads, game moderation, purchases and account recovery belong to the relevant service provider. Do not send your game password or payment details to the Field Guide. Our download page directs visitors to the official source rather than supplying a hosted installer.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the guide useful and correct, but it is provided as available. Pages, data and tools can contain errors, be interrupted or change as the game develops. We do not promise uninterrupted access, complete compatibility with every device or an error-free rules database. Keep your own copy of a build link if you want to retain it.

Use reasonable judgment when acting on game advice or following an external link. To the extent applicable law permits, we do not accept responsibility for losses caused by reliance on outdated reference information, a tool’s limitations or a separate service we do not control. This does not exclude any responsibility or right that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

We may correct, replace or remove material, change a feature, or restrict abusive traffic to maintain the guide and address security or rights concerns.

8. Changes and contact

We will publish revisions on this page and update the date above. Review the current terms when a feature or the site’s operation changes. The Privacy Policy covers personal information; it is separate from the game developer’s policies.

For questions about these terms, email contact@arenaofchampions.net. For a correction, privacy request or rights concern, the Contact page lists the details that help us investigate.
